Working together effectively

Movement strategy
In November, the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement adopted a new strategy focused on developing the effectiveness of the Movement's actions. In order to be stronger and more united, National Societies, the Federation and the ICRC must improve individually, and improve the way they interact collectively.
Understanding that the Movement must adapt to changing humanitarian needs, the new strategy is not static. It is a process of strategic thinking, formulating objectives and translating these into expected results and concrete implementation measures. The strategy's three objectives are strengthening the components of the Movement; improving the Movement's effectiveness and efficiency through increased cooperation and coherence; and improving the Movement's image and its relations with governments and external partners.
