IFRC

How can I become a volunteer?

Volunteers are the lifeblood of the Red Cross Red Crescent movement, however the IFRC does not have any international recruitment system in place for volunteers. All the Red Cross Red Crescent volunteers are recruited and trained locally through National Societies and branches or chapters.

If you are interested in carrying out Red Cross Red Crescent voluntary work, please contact your national Red Cross or Red Crescent society directly for more information about volunteer requirements and opportunities.

Best of luck for your volunteering!

The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) is the world's largest humanitarian organization, with 190 member National Societies. As part of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, our work is guided by seven fundamental principles; humanity, impartiality, neutrality, independence, voluntary service, unity and universality.
