Silent Disasters on Euronews: Flood response in Bolivia

It rained for weeks here in January this year, then for three days the rains intensified melting the surrounding snow caps and swelling the San Juan de Oro river in the province of Tupiza in southern Bolivia. The floods wiped out the crops and livelihoods of the remote communities of Quebrada Seca and Hichupampa.

The Bolivian Red Cross and International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies are working to ensure families can get back to work and reestablish their livelihoods after the floods.
