Animated Video for Zika Virus Prevention

Published: 22 March 2017 22:00 CET

The IFRC Americas Regional Office, through its Zika Operation, produced a community engagement and accountability tool to inform and educate communities about the Zika virus and its prevention methods. The tool includes an animated video with a community user guide for volunteers.

The video share key messages about the Zika virus in an attractive, creative and suitable way for all audiences. At the same time, the user guide aims to help volunteers generate dialogue with communities, to collect and dissipate recurring rumors and doubts among the affected population.

Ultimately, the goal is to ensure that community members replicate appropriate, accurate, timely and verified information about the Zika virus in their own and neighboring communities.
