Red Cross delegate Killed in Yaoundé

An International Federation delegate was attacked and killed in Yaoundé, Cameroon, on the evening of 27 May. Catherine Duclaux, a French national and a Regional Finance Delegate in Yaoundé, had to go to a pharmacy last night to get medicine for her one month old baby when she was attacked and stabbed in the chest.
With the help of bystanders, Catherine was rushed to a hospital where she died before a surgery could be performed.

Catherine Duclaux was born in Valence, France, in 1963. Catherine had worked for the International Federation and the French Red Cross for more than six years.
