Country Projects: Nepal

The Nepal Red Cross Society has been working with the support of the IFRC for the past several years in advocating for the development of national laws pertaining to disaster response.  Nepal has made a national commitment to disaster preparedness and response in the region, namely through its National Strategy for Disaster Risk Management. The IFRC continues to support the efforts of the National Society and national authorities towards the establishment of a legally-binding framework for disaster response.
