SOPAC supports Pacific governments in national level Disaster Risk Management (DRM) review processes. This work builds on Pacific policies, relevant international agreements and best practices, as well as consultations with national actors such as the Red Cross national Societies. The IDRL programme has provided technical input the review processes, and amendments will include clearer roles and responsibilities related to preparedness to request, receive and facilitate foreign disaster assistance.
