Research, tools and publications

Since 2001, the Disaster Law Programme, in cooperation with a number of National Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies and other partners, has been studying legal issues in disaster management, with a particular focus on international disaster relief.

Disaster law database
The disaster law database makes available national and international legal instruments on disaster management as well as references to key books, articles and reports.

Global studies
The Disaster Law programme has published several major global studies on disaster law.

These publications cover legal issues in international disaster cooperation and other disaster management issues at the national and regional levels.

These short summaries provide a brief overview to key disaster law issues.
