The Singapore Red Cross has launched a centre which is giving disabled people a new lease of life.

A life saving mobile app, and a mission to put a first aider in every home by 2020

The mobile application enables an injured person to send out an SOS to trained volunteers within a 2km radius. It also maps the fastest route for certified first aiders to reach the victim.

In January 2008, Zainudin (Din) Ismail, a volunteer turned staff member of Singapore Red Cross Society (SRC), was on a holiday when his quick thinking and first aid training saved the life of one of his friends.
