Kuwait: donor information

Since 2003, Kuwait has donated over CHF 16.8 million in multilateral aid to the IFRC.*

The Kuwait government and the Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) are the lead supporters from the MENA region of the IFRC’s humanitarian response to the Syria Crisis.

Since 2011, Kuwait has contributed $3 million to IFRC’s humanitarian efforts to respond to unrest in MENA. Thanks to the most recent donation of US$1 million made though KRCS in late 2012 towards the IFRC’s Emergency Appeals for Syria and Turkey, the IFRC was able to provide vital support to the Syrian Arab Red Crescent and the Turkish Red Crescent’s relief operations.
