Qatar: donor information

Since 2003, Qatar has donated over CHF 6.8 million in multilateral aid to the IFRC.*

In 2014, the IFRC signed an MOU with Al Jazeera Media Network with the goal of 'giving a voice to the voiceless' and highlighting key humanitarian issues in emergency and development contexts through training, content-sharing, campaigns and joint events. For more information on the partnership, click here.

In 2013, the IFRC signed a Partnership Agreement with Qatar’s Cultural Village Foundation (“Katara”) in coordination with the Qatar Red Crescent Society. Through this agreement, Katara generously agreed to donate the annual proceeds from its outdoor Amphitheatre to the IFRC for strengthening capacities of MENA National Societies.
