UAE: donor information

Since 2003, the United Arab Emirates has donated over CHF 4.7 million in multilateral aid to the IFRC.*

Since 2011, the government of the United Arab Emirates has hosted the IFRC global logistics unit in Dubai within the InternationalHumanitarian City (IHC), representing an annual in-kind donation of over CHF 500,000. The IFRC is grateful to the UAE government and the Emirates Red Crescent, who has played a central role in forging this important partnership. Due to the IHC’s strategic location, from which two-thirds of the world’s population can be reached in eight hours, the IFRC’s Global Logistics Service (GLS) can pre-position disaster response supplies to deliver assistance in some of the world’s worst humanitarian crises quickly and cost-efficiently.
