World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day Message

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

As we mark World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day today, it is especially significant as the focus is on “Youth on the Move”.  We certainly are.

Together with members of your Youth Commission, I would especially like to thank you for the great advancement in furthering our collective youth voice as agents of change in our communities and for making a difference in the lives of vulnerable people throughout the world.

There has been tremendous progress during the past year in furthering the impact of youth networks, facilitating opportunities for leadership and peer to peer exchanges, and expanding partnerships with like-minded organisations.  You are taking action in significant ways.

I wish you continued success in your endeavours and a happy Red Cross and Red Crescent Day.
