We have a number of pre-positioned commodities in stock at our warehouses in Dubai, Kuala Lumpur, Panama and Las Palmas. These stocks include standard non-food and shelter items such as blankets, hygiene parcels, kitchen sets, jerry cans, buckets, mosquito nets, plastic sheeting, shelter kits and tents.
Framework agreements have also been established with suppliers for a number of other standard items such as blankets, health kits, kitchen sets, jerry cans, mosquito nets, plastic sheeting and vehicles. Framework agreements are used for commodities where there is a high demand for large quantities of the same commodity. Purchasing goods through a framework agreement is more effective in securing the right price, and guaranteeing the quality, quantity and delivery terms. In the future, we will extend existing framework agreements to cover a wider range of items.
Outside of framework agreements, we may also procure items through the emergency items catalogue. The catalogue lists over 2,000 standard commodities with product specification details for each item.
Additionally, we are also able to procure non-standard commodities, which are not covered by framework agreements or the emergency items catalogue. Specific items may be supplied for major projects where the order value or possibility of repeat business justifies the investment.
Unfortunately, we are currently unable to offer the leasing of equipment such as vehicles and telecommunications equipment. However, we are able to offer sales of such equipment.
