APFN, together with IFRC and Australian Red Cross, successfully hosted the 4th  APFN Meeting and Skillshare on 18-20 November 2014 in Sydney, Australia.  A totalof 78 participants from 13 National Societies,1 Observer,  IFRC and ICRC  attended.

The three-day conference was a mixture of plenaries, masterclasses, workshops, and networking activities led by 25 well-respected internal and external speakers.  The conference provided an inspiring platform where Asia Pacific fundraisers could coordinate with each other and collaborate for more ways and means to effectively carry-out Resource Mobilization.  The conference was also an opportunity  to commence developing Resource Mobilization strategies;  become inspired by best practice;  learn useful fundraising tools and network with colleagues from other National Societies and external organizations.

APFN was honored with the presence of  IFRC Secretary General El Hadj As Sy who reminded the participants that “…instead of thinking of what is dividing us, let us focus on what is uniting us and look into what is complementing us…”
