Suppliers

Welcome to the dedicated section for suppliers. The International Federation is keen to widen its range of suppliers in order to find quality goods and services at competitive prices.

As a general rule we:

  • only purchase goods and services with a humanitarian purpose
  • register and validate suppliers with whom we do business
  • purchase from manufacturers and authorized representatives
  • purchase products that comply with recognized technical standards
  • invite a range of suppliers to submit tenders
  • use competitive tendering for all procurement

International Federation suppliers benefit from working with us in the following ways:

  • access to a wider customer base and potentially higher order volumes
  • streamlined processes and reduced costs by working with a centralized and dedicated procurement centre
  • better understanding of humanitarian organizations’ needs
  • transparency in the selection process

To become a registered supplier with the International Federation, there are a number of conditions that you must meet. Find out more about the requirements to become a supplier.

Competitive tenders

The International Federation uses two standard documents in its competitive tender process: the Request for Quotation (RFQ) and the Request for Proposal (RFP).

Request for Quotation (RFQ): This is used as the standard document for the procurement of goods of standard or clearly definable specifications. The final contractual document is either a purchase order or formal contract.

Request for Proposal (RFP): This is used as the standard document for procurement of goods and services where the technical specifications cannot be precisely determined, or are of a complicated or specialized technical nature which requires significant input from the supplier. The final contractual document may be either a purchase order or a formal contract.

Terms and conditions

As a supplier of the International Federation, you are required to accept our standard terms and conditions. Purchase orders and contracts do not come into effect until you have accepted the terms and conditions in writing.

Download the terms and conditions document.

Please note that our standard procurement documents include the minimum required terms and conditions, which apply to all procurements. However, if we have a requirement of a specialized nature, then we may add additional conditions to the standard terms and conditions.
