International Conference of the Red Cross and Red Crescent - 2003
The 28th International Conference
of the Red Cross and Red Crescent took place in Geneva from 2 to
6 December 2003. The main theme of the 2003 conference was 'protecting
human dignity'.
The International Conference of the
Red Cross and Red Crescent is held every four years and brings together
all components of the Red Cross Red Crescent Movement together with
the world's states signatory to the Geneva Conventions to consider
and adopt resolutions on major, current humanitarian issues.
The Red Cross Red Crescent Movement comprises
the International Federation, National
Societies and International
Committee of the Red Cross.
