Stockpiling
of emergency relief items - such as tents, blankets, heaters
and mobile first aid kits - as well as the upgrading of telecommunications
equipment are currently underway across Iraq. In case of a
crisis, the Iraqi Red Crescent Society's objective is to cater
for the essential needs of 75,000 people for a 10-day period.
