Shahidul
Islam, a member of the Community Disaster Preparedness Committee,
takes part in a disaster preparedness training in Kalaparam.
The committees are made up of between 11 and 13 members with
a high representation of women. They play a key role in disaster
preparedness by identifying vulnerability, working with households,
alerting and organizing the community.
