Transitional shelter programme in Aceh

Recognizing
that the pace of housing reconstruction will not provide permanent
shelter in the immediate future for many of the people displaced
by the 26 December 2004 tsunami and 28 March 2005 earthquake,
the International Federation is mobilizing material, human
and financial resources to improve living conditions for 67,000
people who have been residing in tents for more than a year.
