This International Federation map shows the main locations in Kenya where people have been affected or displaced due to the recent civil unrest. Violence erupted countrywide following the controversy over the outcome of presidential election. The Kenya Red Cross Society immediately went into action to help affected communities. It had set up an election contingency plan prior to the elections, with over 500 trained staff and volunteers on high alert throughout the country.
