The Belgorod
branch of the Russian Red Cross is very active in public information
and fundraising campaigns for the TB programme. Every year,
to mark World Tuberculosis Day, the Belgorod Red Cross branch
starts a month of public relations campaigns to fight tuberculosis.
Red Cross volunteers are recruited in high schools and universities
to promote healthy lifestyles and to explain how to protect
oneself from tuberculosis.
