The challenges of human development: the future of the Red Cross in Latin America and the Caribbean: vol. 1 Reports on a study of 32 National Societies in Latin America and the Caribbean, conducted during 1990-92 which examined the activities and capacities of these Societies. Volume I provides a summary of the findings, including general recommendations; Volume II provides a detailed account of the study, Society by Society, including socio-economic country data, an analysis of the organization, and individual recommendations for improved performance.
