One of the key provisions of the Dayton Agreement is the right of refugees and displaced people to return to their original homes in safety and with dignity. The International Federation's policy position on the return, repatriation and integration in the successor states of the former Yugoslavia concentrates on realistic aid, given limited funding and other constraints, and a position which is respectful of the wishes of the refugees and displaced persons themselves.
