The Middle East Forum on IDRL was held in Abu Dhabi on 19-20 June 2007. It was co-convened by the International Federation and the United Arab Emirates Red Crescent and hosted by the government of the United Arab Emirates.The forum gathered over 60 participants, representing 9 National Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, 10 governments and regional bodies, 4 UN agencies, 4 NGOs and NGO networks, as well as the International Federation and the International Committee of the Red Cross to discuss the common legal issues in international disaster response and potential solutions.
