"From people to people"
Finnish Red Cross

The voluntary social services section of the Finnish Red Cross run activities to help prevent different forms of social exclusion. Every year, 10,000 volunteers participate in the activities where they and staff visit homes and institutions to give support and listen to people in poor health. Volunteers also support immigrants and prisoners as part of the activities. Many branches also organise recreational activities for the elderly and handicapped.
