joining the Red Cross:
I joined Armenian Red Cross Society when I was 20 years old. I firstlearned about the Red Cross from my aunt who has been a Red Cross volunteer for many years.
Expectations
for the Youth Commission:
I hope to be able to give as much of my time and attention to this
important work as possible. I want to continue being as enthusiastic and
active as I am now.
Before, I was upset that there was nothing that I could do
to improve the situation for youth in the Russian speaking
National Societies. Now I have the opportunity to share experiences
and encourage the National Societies to develop youth.
My best ever experience in the Red Cross/Red Crescent: My best ever experience in the Red Cross was during the formation of a fund-raising group for youth department. I recruited volunteers, organized and ran training sessions for them, and together we held a number of fund-raising events to support programs for refugee children. I could see the difference that youth can make when given an opportunity. |
