The Europe region consists of 53 countries. Click here to view a list of European National Societies. Within this region, there is a regional network and a number of sub-regional networks.
European coordination committee
The European coordination committee
for 2008—2010 is made up of representatives from Belgium, Ireland, Italy, Macedonia, Norway, Portugal and Slovakia. The committee
members for this session were elected by National Society
youth representatives during the European cooperation meeting held
in Croatia in April 2008.
The committee seeks to stimulate the exchange of experiences and ideas,
to share a common view on various sorts of vulnerability, and to
stimulate the wide involvement of youth within the Red Cross.
Sub-regional networks
Currently there are a number of Red Cross and Red Crescent youth
networks in Europe:
- Nordic-Baltic network including Denmark, Estonia,
Finland, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Sweden.
- West European network including Austria, Belgium,
Cyprus, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland,
Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal,
Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom
- Eurasian Red Cross youth network
As the need for network for youth from Russian speaking countries
was increasing, at the moment Eastern Europe and Central Asia Network
is being initiated. Click here

The Europe region is represented within the Youth
Commission by Nazeli Kirakosyan (Armenian Red Cross Society), Maiju
Jolma (Finish Red Cross) and Tilmann
Lahann (German Red Cross).
