Protecting human dignity — 2005
 


The winners of the "Youth Protecting Human Dignity" Award were honoured during the Award Ceremony of the General Assembly in Seoul, November 2005. Click here to read more:

In total we received 69 applications from all the regions and in all categories, all applications were thouroughly evaluated by the appropriate technical departments. Comments like "wow", "this is very good work", and "wonderful initiative" accompanied the scores when applications returned to the Youth focal point desk. As the award was sponsored by Library of Life, prizes included computers and free life-time records on the LoL website. In addition one representative from each winning programme received a travel to Seoul to participate in the General Assembly and receive their well-deserved recognition.

    : Cameroon - Assistance et protection des enfants (Principles and values category)
    Runner-up: Togo - Recruitement et motivation des donneurs bénévoles de sang (Health and care category)
  • Americas:
    Winner: Panama - Brigadas educativas - Labor Social Estudiantil
    (Principles and values category)
  • Asia/Pacific:
    Winner: Sri Lanka - Youth development and strengthening (Disaster management category)
    Runner-up: Philippenes - Youth policy and structure
  • Europe:
    Winner: Spain - Reglament General Organico; estatutes (Policy and structure category)
    Runner-up: Armenia - Psycho-social care for elderly refugees (Health and care category)
  • MENA:
    Winner: Palestine - Mine risk education (Health and care category)
    Runner-up: Syria - Disaster management programme
