Red Cross and Red Crescent youth get a new perspective on diversity and disrcimination

From 22–27 April 2008, 27 youth representatives from 25 different European Red Cross and Red Crescent societies gathered in Tuheljske Toplice, Croatia for a training workshop entitled "Red Cross youth in action to promote respect for diversity and non-discrimination".

Youth action on drug use makes sense
March 2008
In early March, 70 National Societies from five continents met in Barcelona for the World Red Cross Red Crescent Congress on Humanitarian Drug Policy. After the conference, the attending youth staff and volunteers held an additional youth meeting with representatives of 11 National Societies, the International Federation and the Senlis Council, the think tank that had sponsored the event. At this meeting, participants discussed current programmes and new ideas related to working with drug users.

Developing a new generation of humanitarians, Armenia

It is never too early to contribute something to your community - that is one of the main messages of a project by the Armenia Red Cross youth. By promoting humanitarian values in two schools, the youth volunteers motivated 50 teenagers aged 12 and 13 to design projects that meet the needs of their communities.
