What have we learned about Data Literacy during Covid 19?

The Data Literacy Consortium is an informal network convened by IFRC, Centre for Humanitarian Data (OCHA), and Fabriders.
Data Playbook on display (NPDev 2018) We created this space to help people share their experiences and best practices around data literacy. IFRC published the Data Playbook beta project in June 2018. It has been used and inspired data skills approaches across the Red Cross Red Crescent Movement, OCHA, UNHCR, and other humanitarian actors.

IFRC has learned much about the need and support of data literacy in this Covid-19 global domestic response. There has been a flow of response data on the Go platform (National Societies) are using kobo for this. In addition, the Innovation teams in Solferino Academy have been collaborating on qualitative insights to show how data and digital are evolving with our response. What have you and your organization learned about data literacy opportunities and needs?

Our next Data Literacy Consortium meeting will be at 15:00 CEST on June 25th. RSVP below to get on our mailing list and receive details on how to join. All welcome. It is always a delight to connect RCRC practitioners with other data literacy advocates. Register here.
