Tigray: Population movement complex emergency

Since November 2020, fighting between the Ethiopian Government and the Tigray Defence Forces has resulted in loss of life; injuries; destruction of property and infrastructure; displacement; loss of livelihood and psychological distress across northern Ethiopia. Displaced populations from the Tigray region and other internally displaced people (IDPs) remain in camps. Food insecurity and malnutrition have been exacerbated by the cascading effects of the crisis, with an estimated 5.5 million people in Tigray and adjacent areas now experiencing acute food insecurity.
