Venezuela: Health emergency

Venezuela has faced several challenges in recent years. In 2019 there was an urgent need for immediate humanitarian action to strengthen the provision of health care and other vital sectors such as water, sanitation and hygiene promotion, food safety and nutrition. These needs have only increased during the COVID-19 pandemic. As of March 2021, more than 500,000 people have been reached in 24 states with interventions in health and water, sanitation, and hygiene.
