Thank you for your interest in supporting the work of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC). This year, we are trying to help more than 30 million of the world's most needy people. One of the best ways you can make a difference to the lives of these people is to make a financial donation to our work.
You may donate either to the National Society in your country, or to the IFRC directly.
- To make a contribution to your National Society, please contact them directly. Addresses and web sites can be found in our directory section.
- You can also make a donation directly to the IFRC using the 'Donate Now' button on the right. Donations may be made online using a credit card and are processed securely by Ammado.
Nepal appeal launched
In response to significant humanitarian needs following the earthquake in Nepal, the IFRC has launched a 33.4 million Swiss franc emergency appeal to provide vital services including food, shelter and water and sanitation assistance for 75,000 vulnerable people. The appeal was launched following an initial Disaster Relief Emergency Fund allocation of 500,000 Swiss francs, which was activated to ensure resources are available immediately.

You may choose to donate to one of our major field operations, or to make a general "unearmarked" donation. These unearmarked donations are essential to enable us to help people in desperate need, but for whom it can be difficult to raise funds as their plight is no longer in the news.
The IFRC is not a government agency, but depends on donations to carry out its work. What's more, the value of contributions is increased by the fact that the Federation has a huge volunteer network, with 355 volunteers for every paid member of staff.
Once again, thank you for your support.
