She looks 15, but is in fact 20. Estella is breastfeeding her baby at the camp she and her family now call home. Her infant son was born in the camp, eight months ago, her second child. The father ran away in exile.

Estella has lived in the camp for more than one year, escaping the violence with her father, brother and sisters. In total, 15 children and 10 grandchildren live inside a small tent in the middle of the camp, next to the church.

The family has no means to live by, relying entirely on food provided by other people.

“My young child might be the best placed here,” she says. “At least he gets my milk whenever he wants.”
