The purpose of the required service is to provide a technology platform on which the IFRC secretariat can build a new IFRC Extranet service for the Red Cross and Red Crescent network. The Extranet is a critical enabler of IFRC Strategy 2030 and part of the secretariat’s responsibility to facilitate knowledge sharing, acting as a knowledge broker and providing appropriate tools such as a platform for National Societies to share learning, co-develop approaches, facilitate peer-to-peer support and contribute to the overall coherence of National Society Development support.
The purpose of the “Extranet” is to offer a service to the staff and volunteers of Red Cross and Red Crescent (RCRC) National Societies (NSs), Reference Centres and other knowledge hubs, and the IFRC Secretariat that enables them, to effectively:
• Find high-value knowledge • Apply knowledge and capture learning • Share and co-create knowledge

The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) wishes to contract a company with the provision of very good quality of internet connection for Central African Republic and Chad cluster as part of our humanitarian operations. Details regarding these internet connection are presented in the terms of reference which will be made available to you upon request.
Service description: Provide an internet connection via the options proposed in the terms of reference .
Goals: These specifications aim to outline a general framework for the provision of comprehensive TCP/IP Internet access services to the IFRC offices in Ndjamena in Chad and Bangui in the Central African Republic. The service must be highly stable and reliable, with an overall availability of no less than 99.5%.
