The IFRC-DREF 2024 plan represents a pivotal commitment in our approach to disaster response and anticipation action. Notably, 82 per cent of our funds are directly allocated to National Societies, far exceeding the global average of 1.2 per cent. Additionally, our innovative IFRC-DREF Insurance has the potential to extend our reach to 6 million more people at risk from natural hazards. This plan underscores our commitment to providing direct, effective support to local actors in emergency response.
