IFRC-WWF Global Partnership Roadmap for Phase II

The world’s largest humanitarian network, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, and the world’s leading conservation organization, the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), have joined in a partnership to address climate change impacts, related disasters and nature loss for socio-ecological resilience. This document outlines the way forward for the Partnership, which focuses on nature-based solutions for climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction. While nature-based solutions are gaining traction for climate change mitigation, they remain underutilized in adaptation—and even less so in disaster risk reduction. This Partnership has aimed to fill these gaps by providing thought leadership, promoting nature-based interventions, providing policies, tools and approaches to enhance socio-ecological resilience and address climate-related impacts and disasters effectively.
