Campaign with us
At the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), we understand the power in numbers in making real change happen. Discover our global campaigning priorities and how you can get involved—whether you're a volunteer, member of staff, partner or member of the public.
About our campaigns
In support of some of our main organizational priorities, the IFRC runs communications campaigns that unite the voices of local Red Cross and Red Crescent societies and their communities.
Our campaigns are vibrant and diverse. They shed light on important humanitarian and development issues, combining powerful facts and figures with creative human storytelling to connect with our audiences about our life-saving and life-changing work. And they support our humanitarian diplomacy and advocacy objectives, helping to put local humanitarian needs and perspectives on the tables of world leaders and decision-makers.
Through our campaigns, we engage with audiences through social media, TV, traditional and digital media, in-person and virtual events, and word-of-mouth through our unparalleled reach within communities around the world.

World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day, May 8
World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day is an annual celebration of the fundamental principles of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. It is celebrated on 8 May every year, the anniversary of the birth of Henry Dunant who came up with the idea of the Red Cross in the mid-1800s.
International Volunteer Day, December 5
International Volunteer Day is a chance for us to celebrate and thank our millions of volunteers around the world engaging in local humanitarian action for global good. We are deeply proud of our incredible volunteers who save lives and strive for our shared humanity every single day.
Due to climate change, heat waves are on the rise globally—getting both hotter and longer. But they don't need to lead to tragedy. Heat Action Day is all about raising awareness of heat risks to keep ourselves, our families and our communities safe.
