IFRC's Disaster Response Emergency Fund Mid-Year Report 2024
In the first half of 2024, the IFRC-DREF allocated a record 34.99 million Swiss francs to support 87 operations across all five regions, reflecting a substantial increase from previous years. This funding surge highlights the growing need to respond to and anticipate a wide range of disasters. Notably, 77 per cent of these allocations targeted weather-related crises.
