Tropical Cyclone Chido, a Category 4-equivalent storm with devastating winds and rains, severely impacted the Southwest Indian Ocean region, causing at least 117 deaths and affecting over a million people across Madagascar, the Comoros, Mayotte, Mozambique, and Malawi.
