Annual Report
Our Annual Report sets out our achievements, our progress against our strategic priorities, and how we used donor funds in 2022. For the first time, we've also produced a separate report on Regular Resources—the un-earmarked funds crucial to our work supporting effective local humanitarian action.
Reclaimed table for climate action
Parched, weathered tree branches from Yemen. Wall panels charred by wildfires in Spain. Parts of a Ugandan home swept away by flooding. These are just some of the objects in a unique table, created by the IFRC, to represent the impact of climate-related disasters all over the world. On display at COP28, a section of the table is shown above. During the climate summit, it serves as a neutral space to come together and brainstorm about solutions. Below are the stories behind each part of the table, the people impacted and what’s being done to protect them in the future.
Water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH)
Access to safe water and sanitation is a human right. But right now, hundreds of millions of people around the world do not have access to safe water and billions cannot access the sanitation services they need. Discover how the IFRC is at the forefront of responding to global water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) needs.
Early warning, early action
Early warning and early action, also known as anticipatory action or forecast-based action, means taking steps to protect people before a disaster strikes based on early warning or forecasts. To be effective, it must involve meaningful engagement with at-risk communities.
Global humanitarian services
The IFRC is a recognized provider of global humanitarian supply chain services—both to members of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, but also to humanitarian organizations and governments around the world.
