NSIA Annual Report 2023
This Annual Report outlines the activities and progress of the National Society Investment Alliance (NSIA) in 2023. The NSIA promotes the sustainable development of Red Cross and Red Crescent National Societies in fragile contexts. The report highlights several emerging impacts towards positive transformation of National Societies and on the local humanitarian situation. The NSIA is a joint investment fund of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).

In doing so, itseeks to alignthe IFRC membership, the Movement and external partners on National Society Financial Sustainability through a common conceptual frame and language. It is also a resource tosupportNational Societies’ and IFRC leadership to improve financial sustainability by identifying critical issues, taking informed decisions and appropriate actions and tracking progress and learning, all whilst maintaining flexibility, adaptability and risk-taking.
Baseline Basics
This guide is intended to support National Societies and other IFRC project teams and partners conduct reliable and useful baseline studies that help better measure and deliver services to those in need. It is meant to be succinct, but with enough information to practically guide the user to plan for and implement a baseline study, pointing to additional resources for further reference.
Capacity Building Fund Report 2023

Safe Homes: Key Lessons From Hosting People Displaced From Ukraine In Private Homes
This comprehensive report shares key lessons learnt during the Safe Homes Programme, which helped Ukrainian refugees find safe shelter in private homes throughout Europe following the escalation of conflict between Russia and Ukraine in 2022. The document includes insights from eight European Red Cross National Societies that participated in the programme, as well as partner agencies, government authorities, organisations, host families and refugees. Most importantly, it offers a blueprint for the preparation and implementation of future humanitarian responses to mass population movements.
