The IFRC's Global Route-Based Migration Programme is the IFRC's operationalization of its route-based approach, launched in 2021 and now extended through 2030. This document outlines Europe's regional strategy for delivering humanitarian assistance, protection, and humanitarian diplomacy along some of Africa’s key migration routes. As part of the five-year extension of the Global Route-Based Migration Programme, the document sets out priorities, targets, and activities across 16 National Societies to strengthen cross-border collaboration and provide coordinated support to people on the move and host communities.
