Community Health Module: Understanding and supporting healthy behaviour in the community
This module provides a practical introduction to behaviour change for community health programmes. It explains how behaviours are shaped, how to identify barriers and motivators, and how to design interventions that support people to adopt healthier practices. Using evidence-based approaches such as the COM-B model and behaviour change techniques, participants learn to analyse behaviours, select appropriate interventions, and monitor progress. The module emphasizes community engagement, inclusivity and continuous learning to support lasting improvements in health, well-being and resilience.
