Leading donors from around the world gather each year at the IFRC secretariate in Geneva, Switzerland to pledge new or renewed funding to the IFRC's Disaster Response Emergency Fund, moving the fund a significant step closer to its strategic ambition of growing IFRC-DREF to 100 million Swiss Francs by 2025.

What happened at the last pledging conference
The 2023 IFRC-DREF Pledging Conference drew 70 participants representing 35 governments and the private sector.

Collectively, global cross-sector partners including governments and private-sector companies pledged over 64 million Swiss Francs in support of IFRC-DREF for 2023, beating the prior year’s total and previous record of 43 million Swiss Francs.
